Quest 3: New Findings!

Not too much to report today. I’ve been surfing the internet, searching for what clothes I would like to have for my girl. I found two outfits I would absolutely love! I found a two piece set with a black and white striped bunny hoodie with a black short skirt. Then I saw a blue and purple Lolita-like dress! Soo pretty!!!!!
Also, as I was on my search, I came across these little miniatures that look like tea sets, desserts, dinners, etc. They even had furniture, but they don’t fit SD sized dolls…
I’ve included the urls for the clothes I liked. Feel free to look.

Blue & Purple Lolita Dress (I badly want this)
Black Kimono
Ivory Kimono
Black & White Striped Bunny Hoodie (I want this too)
Purple & Black Dress
Black Dress

(Oh yeah, the image above is the logo I designed for Resin Beauty!)

Quest 2: Solutions! :3

I said I would have some kind of solution, and I do! Well, for part of it… Today I went to get my taxes and guess what? In the next month or two I’ll have enough money for my bjd. Yay’s! As for face up I’ve drawn a picture of what I want. The picture is located on the top left. I hope you like! :3
I think I’ve found two wigs I’d like to have. ( Bluebell wig, Whisper Blue Mitzi) Not sure which one yet… Clothes, arg, I can’t find what I’d really like to have. The one I would love to have wouldn’t fit my girl. ::cries:: I guess I’ll have to worry about that when I’m able to by her. The clothes seem to like to sell out quickly. So I guess its best not to get my heart set on one thing. You know… Any ways, I’ll let you know how things go. Bye bye!

Quest 1: Some Things I Need

On Bobobie I signed onto their forum and asked some questions. I told them that I want a certain doll. I wanted to know where I could find wigs and clothes for her. They gave me the url for Denver Doll and The Junky Spot. Wow, good quality and nicely priced! As for my wanting violet eyes, the doll includes a pair of random eyes! I’m so excited! Someone kind of gave me the idea on how to change the eyes too.
What I’m mostly worried about is the face up. So, I guess I need to design how I want the face up to look and send it to the company. I wouldn’t mind paying a little more for what I want!
The next thing I need to worry about are the cloths, face up, a name, a wig, and most importantly MONEY to get it all with. I’ll get back to all of you soon hopefully with my solutions and some more picks! :3

How The Quest Began

The very first time I saw a Super Dollfie I fell in love… I believe it was at Megacon. There was a group of girls sitting around a table having tea. I remember they were all dressed in Lolita dresses, and there amongst all of the little desserts and teacups, were the most amazing dolls. I’ve always loved dolls. I have about seven porcelain dolls, five resin Final Fantasy figures, one resin My Twin doll, and about fifty Barbies. So yeah, I have a lot of dolls, but nothing like these! They; were rather large, about two feet tall. They had many joints so, their positioning abilities were phenomenal. What really go my attention were their faces. They had very anime-like features, and I LOVE anime. The paint on their faces was so pretty. I loved how they had glossy lips. So cute!
I just had to ask what they were. They said they were Super Dollfies, or BJD’s (Ball Jointed Dolls). They even gave me their doll’s names. They freaking had names! I found out that even their eyes and wigs can be changed. Oh, the possibilities!
I had to have one. I knew I had to be one of those girls drinking tea and showing off their precious Dollfie! So, when I got home, I went online and found “Volks” the great god of all Super Dollfies. I was in heaven! There were so many BJD’s. I found clothes, shoes, wigs, eyes, face up, and even shoes! Then I had to look for the price… “Holy Crap, Look at all of those zeros!” At least that was just yen… But, even when converted the price still came out to the unholy $800! So, sadly I had to give up on my dream… For Now!
Later on, after dreaming of getting my hands on one of these beauties, I found it, the wonderful site that is Bobobie Doll Mall. Get this, Bobobie sells beautiful 60 cm BJD’s for $170! I thought I’d faint. My dream was much closer than before. Then a few months later I got my taxes done and it looks like I get to get my first BJD in about two months. The little bugger's mine! So, from here on you get to follow me on my quest to get my very first BJD.
(The Image is not something I did. I believe its property of Volks.)
