Quest 15: Rhiannon's New Look!

I have a few developments to report on. Rhiannon has a new look. The pictures are added below. I hope you like it, she definitely does!

Also, Rhiannon went to her first anime convention, AFO. She got so many compliments. She's a little embarrassed, because Rhiannon isn't used to all of the people doting on her.

Here's also a little photo story I thought up. Rhiannon has been meeting all of the other dolls I have around my room. I love porcelain dolls. I have around five or six porcelain dolls plus a My Twin Doll. I hope you enjoy!

"Who are you?"

"Am I really that short!?"

"I'm the shortest doll in this room!" ::Pouts::

::Pat::

"Hmmm?"

::Sniffs:: "T-thank you..."

"Let's be friends."

Quest 14: New Developments. Yay!

Well, I guess I'm kinda useless... T_T I've came up with her name and it's not even the one everyone voted for. I'm so sorry. I'm going to name her Rhiannon. I think it's such a pretty name! My mom was going to actually name me Rhiannon. I had such a hard time figuring out the perfect name for her, because I'm writing a story about her character. I couldn't figure out a name for her to save my life! Hah hah! Soon I may post some of it on this blog! Just have to finish at least a chapter or two...

Anywho, I'm making a new dress for her. I'm kind of worried about keeping the purple dress on her for too long for fear of staining the resin. But, I don't want her to go naked... O_O I have the fabric and everything. I just have to make the pattern, cut it out, and sew it. It's going to be white with baby blue polka dots. I also have the cutest little bows. They are white with baby blue stripes! Oh, and don't forget the lace! I'll get working on it soon and post pictures. Until then, don't just display your dollies... Play with them!

Quest 11: Soon, Very Soon...

I emailed Bobobie the other day to ask a few questions about my order. I have some information... My girl should be shipped in about twenty days! So, from the time I got the email It should be shipped on April 18, 2010. Yeah I know I'm kinda late. I'm so excited! X3

I may buy a carrying bag for my girl from Denver Doll. There may have to be some saving involved... ^_^; I'm a little worried about dropping or breaking her when I go places.

Currently, I am pondering some names for her. I like them all and I'm having trouble choosing... I'm also working on a story that has a character that she's based on. I'll go ahead and list them with there meanings. I'll try to post it sometime. Let me know which name you like the best PLEASE! ^_^

Alura - god like, adviser
Anona - guardian
Raina - ruler, queenly, guardian
Asima - guardian
Vesta - guardian
Valeska - glorious ruler

Quest 10: Epic Email!

Oh my goodness I'm so excited! I just got and email back from Bobobie saying that they got my payment and my doll is in preparation now. Guess what else? Guess... Ok, my doll will most likely be sent to me in a month! Woot woot! I cannot wait to see her, and what really surprises me is that my Mom can't wait either! What a shocker! I showed her the wig and the clothes that came in the other day. She couldn't stop asking me questions and she kept wanting to see what the doll looks like. I don't think she actually realized the epicness that is bjd!

Any way's, in the meantime I'm working on finding an name for her. I also have a story in the makings. I might even have a reason to get a boy in a later date... I'm thinking of getting an Apollo! So cute! X3 So when I have more news I'll post again. Until then...

Quest 8: Bought My Doll ^_^

I'm so darn excited! Bobobie emailed me back. They gave me the total price of my order, and their PayPal account. So I was able to send them the money. I also found some very interesting sites. I found a site that's suppose to be an online bjd magazine. It's called BJD Collectasy.

Now that all this is done the next thing I need to do is wait for Bobobie to email me. They'll email me back back with my order number so I can check the status of my order. It'll take a little while until they ship my order. My doll has to be pained. There's probably a few orders before mine... See you soon! ^_^

Here are the urls to the doll and other things I bought with her:
1/3 Girl Elena
60cm doll shoe-01
Custom FaceUp (I drew a picture of what I want.)

Quest 7: Clothes Purchased and Shipped!!

Today I was able to put some of my money to good use while waiting for Bobobie to email me back. I went on a shopping spree for my girl on Denver Doll Emporium. I purchased one of the outfits that I wanted. I purchased a pretty blue wig and a wig cap. It all came to $112. Then I looked at the Gallery on the Bobobie forum. All of the beautiful bjd's just made me more excited and anxious. I know I should be patient but its so difficult!! I'm not use to ordering stuff online... Help me!!!

Here are the pictures of the items I bought:
Purple Haze Outfit
Whisper Blue - LR-038 Lacey Wig - From LeekeWorld
Wig Cap

Quest 6: The First Step

The first step of purchasing my first BJD has begun. My tax money has arrived. I've created myself a PayPal account, and I have emailed Bobobie about my order. I'm mostly emailing them because I'm getting a custom FaceUp. The picture of how I want my FaceUp is back in the Quest #2 post. So now I get to wait some more. I guess waiting is just part of it all... ^_^;

Quest 5: Awsome BJD!

You'd never believe what I've found! I didn't think is was possible but someone has a bjd that can Dance! Yeah you read that correctly... Dancing Doll-san brought in Alice, his dancing bjd to Dolpa(a bjd convention). I wish I could buy one but I'm sure it's out of my price range... At least for now. Alice is made up from 25 servo motors and a Viston processing unit. Battery is a 6.0v+4.8v. She also comes with 2 gyro and 3 accelerator sensors. As for my my quest for getting my bjd girl... I found out that I should be getting my money for her next Friday!! I'm soo happy!
Here is a link to see Alice dance!

Quest 3: New Findings!

Not too much to report today. I’ve been surfing the internet, searching for what clothes I would like to have for my girl. I found two outfits I would absolutely love! I found a two piece set with a black and white striped bunny hoodie with a black short skirt. Then I saw a blue and purple Lolita-like dress! Soo pretty!!!!!
Also, as I was on my search, I came across these little miniatures that look like tea sets, desserts, dinners, etc. They even had furniture, but they don’t fit SD sized dolls…
I’ve included the urls for the clothes I liked. Feel free to look.

Blue & Purple Lolita Dress (I badly want this)
Black Kimono
Ivory Kimono
Black & White Striped Bunny Hoodie (I want this too)
Purple & Black Dress
Black Dress

(Oh yeah, the image above is the logo I designed for Resin Beauty!)

Quest 2: Solutions! :3

I said I would have some kind of solution, and I do! Well, for part of it… Today I went to get my taxes and guess what? In the next month or two I’ll have enough money for my bjd. Yay’s! As for face up I’ve drawn a picture of what I want. The picture is located on the top left. I hope you like! :3
I think I’ve found two wigs I’d like to have. ( Bluebell wig, Whisper Blue Mitzi) Not sure which one yet… Clothes, arg, I can’t find what I’d really like to have. The one I would love to have wouldn’t fit my girl. ::cries:: I guess I’ll have to worry about that when I’m able to by her. The clothes seem to like to sell out quickly. So I guess its best not to get my heart set on one thing. You know… Any ways, I’ll let you know how things go. Bye bye!

Quest 1: Some Things I Need

On Bobobie I signed onto their forum and asked some questions. I told them that I want a certain doll. I wanted to know where I could find wigs and clothes for her. They gave me the url for Denver Doll and The Junky Spot. Wow, good quality and nicely priced! As for my wanting violet eyes, the doll includes a pair of random eyes! I’m so excited! Someone kind of gave me the idea on how to change the eyes too.
What I’m mostly worried about is the face up. So, I guess I need to design how I want the face up to look and send it to the company. I wouldn’t mind paying a little more for what I want!
The next thing I need to worry about are the cloths, face up, a name, a wig, and most importantly MONEY to get it all with. I’ll get back to all of you soon hopefully with my solutions and some more picks! :3

How The Quest Began

The very first time I saw a Super Dollfie I fell in love… I believe it was at Megacon. There was a group of girls sitting around a table having tea. I remember they were all dressed in Lolita dresses, and there amongst all of the little desserts and teacups, were the most amazing dolls. I’ve always loved dolls. I have about seven porcelain dolls, five resin Final Fantasy figures, one resin My Twin doll, and about fifty Barbies. So yeah, I have a lot of dolls, but nothing like these! They; were rather large, about two feet tall. They had many joints so, their positioning abilities were phenomenal. What really go my attention were their faces. They had very anime-like features, and I LOVE anime. The paint on their faces was so pretty. I loved how they had glossy lips. So cute!
I just had to ask what they were. They said they were Super Dollfies, or BJD’s (Ball Jointed Dolls). They even gave me their doll’s names. They freaking had names! I found out that even their eyes and wigs can be changed. Oh, the possibilities!
I had to have one. I knew I had to be one of those girls drinking tea and showing off their precious Dollfie! So, when I got home, I went online and found “Volks” the great god of all Super Dollfies. I was in heaven! There were so many BJD’s. I found clothes, shoes, wigs, eyes, face up, and even shoes! Then I had to look for the price… “Holy Crap, Look at all of those zeros!” At least that was just yen… But, even when converted the price still came out to the unholy $800! So, sadly I had to give up on my dream… For Now!
Later on, after dreaming of getting my hands on one of these beauties, I found it, the wonderful site that is Bobobie Doll Mall. Get this, Bobobie sells beautiful 60 cm BJD’s for $170! I thought I’d faint. My dream was much closer than before. Then a few months later I got my taxes done and it looks like I get to get my first BJD in about two months. The little bugger's mine! So, from here on you get to follow me on my quest to get my very first BJD.
(The Image is not something I did. I believe its property of Volks.)
